ESR History:
ESR-technology was first developed at Kazan
State University by a Soviet physicist, Yevgeny Zavoisky, in 1944.
This ESR technology is based on the electromagnetic adsorption by substances
with unpaired electrons in a magnetic field. ESR
is especially used for investigation in physics, geology,
chemistry and biology.
Sofar ESR could
not be established in the field of medicine, because the analysis
of spectra was much to complex. Furthermore the size of the
measuring equipment was improper for clinical use. Thus the
medical applicability of ESR spectroscopy fall into oblivion.
Until the year 1986, due to the disaster of the Tschernobyl
catastrophy scientists
found differences in the serum albumin between healthy people and
those, who developed cancer, but without being able to
interprete these results.
Based on this, the scientists of MedInnovation GmbH have managed the
interpretation of the spectra and the determination of serum
albumin transport parameter. Herefrom we have developed a test
procedure which is cancer specific and reliable. With this
method we are able to detect tumor growth rather than tumor
markers or conventinal procedures, like image based methods, do.
